Feral cats are cats that can’t be picked up or held by anyone.
For the safety of everyone involved, both the SPCA of Lake County staff and the cat’s caretaker, we require the cats to be brought in using humane traps.
The ideal trap will be:
-
10"-12" wide/tall
-
30"-36" long
-
have an easy access rear panel (not double sided)
-
No coyote, raccoon or squirrel traps
Smaller or larger traps do not fit our transfer cages.
Please email us if you have any questions or need to rent a trap.
